<p>The breakaway eyelet is typically recessed into the rear of the gun stock on the side away from the diver and is held in place with a single screw. It is made of 304 stainless steel and accepts a 9/16” diameter tapered rubber friction plug, which can be easily made up from pieces of old power bands and a length of nylon cord. The breakaway eyelet is used in conjunction with floating or trailing line systems.</p>
